Immediately following last Saturday’s crash of Asiana flight 214 at San Francisco Airport Bay Area volunteers of the Tzu Chi Foundation launched into action, focusing on what they could do to help the victims of the crash. Tzu Chi will be holding a special prayer ceremony on Saturday, July 13 from 11:00 am -12:00 noon to pray for all involved parties.
The prayer ceremony will be held at the little park that is located behind the 76 gas station, 1200 Bay Shore Highway, Burlingame, close to Crown Plaza Hotel within sight of the disaster area [Map]. Everyone regardless of religious affiliation is invited to join Tzu Chi to pray for the victims.

Tzu Chi, an international Buddhist relief organization that began in Taiwan, offers compassionate efforts for charity, medical treatment, education, and disaster relief. Tzu Chi Foundation recently provided disaster assistance to the victims of the San Mateo apartment fire that took place Sunday, July 7, damaging 72 homes and affecting over 150 people.
The Northwest Regional office of Tzu Chi is located in San Jose, and Tzu Chi is an Organizational Affiliate of SiVIC, the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council.
