Karen Armstrong’s Charter for Compassion will offer a webcast tomorrow morning, November 18, 8:00 – 10:00 am, featuring a number of folks from religious, scientific, and psychological backgrounds speaking on the need for compassion.
Among the speakers will be Karen Armstrong herself, the Rev. Dr. Joan Brown Campbell, former director of the National Council of Churches; Matthieu Ricard, Buddhist monk and author; Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Chairman of the Cordoba Institute; Chade-Meng Tan, Google Engineer and Founding Patron of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE); Krista Tippett, host of Public Radio’s “On Being”; Fred Luskin, psychologist and researcher into forgiveness, and more.
