Religious leaders opposing Islamophobia

A group of religious leaders from Santa Clara County held a press conference yesterday in response to the recent increases in anti-Muslim rhetoric, demonstrations, and even attacks. The conference was organized by several local interfaith groups, including the Council of Churches of Santa Clara County, PACT, the Interfaith Council on Economics and Justice, Midpenninsula Interfaith Voices for Peace, American Muslim Voice, Interfaith Space, and the Silicon Valley Interreligious Council.

They announced a community gathering in solidarity with all people to be held Friday, September 10th, 5:00 pm at the Jim McEntee Plaza in front of the Santa Clara County building, 70 W. Hedding, San Jose.
