Sabbath Open House

Friday, March 20, 2009 7:30 – 9:00 pm

All community members and their friends are invited to attend services at Temple Emanu-El on Friday, March 20. Services begin at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary (enter on University Avenue) and will be led by Rabbi Dana Magat and Cantor Intern Meeka Simerly. The worship experience will be interactive, with Rabbi Magat explaining elements of the liturgy.

During the social hour which follows, there will be informational tables hosted by members of the Temple Sisterhood, featuring Jewish holidays and life cycle events. And of course there will be food! So this is an evening which nourishes the mind, the spirit and the body. If you have never been to a synagogue and wonder what it’s like … if it’s been a long time since you’ve been … if you are curious about Judaism … this is the perfect evening for you.

Please do call if you have any questions (408.292.0939). You may RSVP to admin@templesanjose.org if you plan to attend (preferred) or you can just show up on the 20th. Our doors are open. Temple Emanu-El is located at 1010 University Avenue
San Jose, CA.
